Kyle Thomas is a Vice President with George K. Baum & Company serving Municipal Finance. Mr. Thomas is involved in the transaction execution and quantitative structuring of both tax-exempt and taxable debt financings for Colorado special districts and local governments. Mr. Thomas has been involved in approximately $600 million of tax-exempt financings at George K. Baum & Company.
Since joining GKB in 2016, Mr. Thomas has acted as lead investment banker for more than 25 transactions totaling more than $125 million in par amount. His specific area of focus is on Colorado metropolitan districts having acted as lead investment banker on multiple transactions for non-rated bonds, rated bonds and direct placements. In addition, Mr. Thomas has acted as investment banker for a variety of local governments including the Town of Windsor, Town of Milliken, Town of Frisco, City of Edgewater, Town of Carbondale, Ouray County, Adams County Fire and Loveland Fire Rescue. Mr. Thomas has provided local governments with a wide range of services including municipal bond underwriting, facilitating bank loans and lease purchase financing.
Mr. Thomas holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Strategic Management from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
Prior to joining George K. Baum & Company, Mr. Thomas worked for DePuySynthes, a Johnson & Johnson company, for 12 years as an engineer, sales representative and technical sales manager.
