Grant Knowlton joined GKB in 2014 and is a Senior Vice President Kansas City, MO. He is a member of the sales team in the Capital Markets practice. Mr. Knowlton handles a diverse spectrum of both taxable and tax-exempt securities, providing economic, market and security analysis for his clients. He currently works with both retail and institutional customers nationwide that include individuals, banks, trust companies, mutual funds, money managers, corporations, municipalities, insurance companies and not-for-profits.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Knowlton worked at UMB Bank’s Investment Banking Division in Kansas City, MO, and Denver, CO. While there, he worked with institutional investors within the Midwest and mountain states, focusing on bond portfolio management and sales, asset/ liability management, economic research, and investment analysis.
Mr. Knowlton earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Mr. Knowlton currently holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designations. Mr. Knowlton is an active member of the CFA Society of Kansas City and the current President of the Kansas City Municipal Bond Club. Mr. Knowlton, his wife and two daughters reside in Leawood, KS. His family is actively involved in their local parish, Church of Nativity and Nativity Parish School.
