Bret Shogren is a First Vice President with George K. Baum & Company’s Kansas Public Finance practice. He joined GKB in 2013 and is based in the Wichita, KS, office. Since graduating from analyst training through GKB’s Denver, CO, office, his focus has been on assisting cities, counties, school districts, healthcare providers and other issuers with election proceedings, advice and the structuring and marketing of both general obligation and revenue bond issues throughout the state of Kansas.
Mr. Shogren has assisted in more than 120 transactions, helping municipalities issue more than $1.43 billion in total par amount. These transactions are comprised of new money bonds after successful elections, refundings for interest cost savings and temporary note financings for issuers in Kansas.
Mr. Shogren is from the Wichita, KS, area, graduating from Andover High School and earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University in 2012. He currently resides in the Wichita, KS, area.
