Donald W. Diones is a Senior Vice President with George K. Baum & Company. He has extensive experience in working with school districts, municipalities, special districts and other political subdivisions in the Rocky Mountain West. This record has resulted in his handling of a multitude of financings ranging from general obligation bonds to lease financings for municipal securities. In concert with his investment banking activities, he has acquired expertise in planning and passing elections for bond issues and tax referendums. This experience and insight has enabled his clients to identify their needs and meet their goals.
After leaving the Firm in 1982, Mr. Diones rejoined George K. Baum & Company in 2000. During the intervening years, he had his own municipal bond firm for 10 years and was associated with Bigelow & Company prior to returning to George K. Baum & Company. He was previously president of the Colorado Municipal Bond Dealers Association. Mr. Diones has been a presenter at numerous client/issuer conferences, association meetings and groups. He has mentored a number of public officials and helped develop investment banking professionals within the industry. Mr. Diones is a graduate of Colorado College.
