Jason Appelt is a Senior Vice President in George K. Baum & Company's Higher Education & Nonprofit Finance Group. Mr. Appelt brings more than 18 years of experience in the municipal bond market and has been involved in the transaction execution and quantitative analysis of both tax-exempt and taxable debt financings for a number of educational institutions across the country. He has structured numerous fixed-rate and variable-rate revenue bond financings over the course of his extensive career. Mr. Appelt is also responsible for compiling and preparing disclosure documents, as well as developing credit and debt capacity analysis reports. He has served as a sole or lead banker for a variety of charter schools and higher education institutions involving first-time ratings, debt restructurings and new facility financing deals.

Mr. Appelt received a BS in Applied Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
