His client base includes credits ranging from some of the highest in the country, to those requiring extensive negotiations (to gain investor confidence in the transactions he administers). Since joining GKB, Mr. Adams has focused his efforts on the not-for-profit space, working specifically with independent schools. Some of the prominent regional schools he has assisted include Charlotte Latin School (Charlotte), Porter Gaud School (Charleston), St. David's School (Raleigh), Shorecrest Preparatory School (St. Petersburg) and The Fletcher School (Charlotte), reflecting a wide array of institutions and financing needs. He also provides financing guidance to other not-for-profit organizations such as YMCAs, Goodwills, foundations and various cultural organizations.

Throughout his career in the higher education space, Mr. Adams has worked with several public universities within the UNC System and individually with several constituent institutions (UNC Chapel Hill, NC State University, UNC Wilmington, North Carolina A&T University, and Western Carolina University). He also has provided underwriting services to private colleges such as Davidson College, High Point University, Mississippi College, Florida Southern, Barry University and the University of Tampa. He also continues to pursue alternative student housing opportunities, similar to the Innovation Square Housing project the Firm successfully financed at the University of Florida.

Mr. Adams served for five years as the CFO and COO of a not-for-profit cultural organization in Charlotte, NC. By combining his in-depth knowledge of public finance and not-for-profits, Mr. Adams approaches higher education challenges from operations, finance, development and programmatic angles.
