Edmund Steinauer is an Executive Vice President and Co-Manager of the Municipal Finance Division at George K. Baum & Company.
In his role, Mr. Steinauer oversees underwriting, municipal advisory services and capital markets for various public and private sectors across the country. With 36 years of experience, his areas of expertise include marketing tax-exempt and taxable bonds, private placements, and municipal products.
Mr. Steinauer joined George K. Baum & Company in 1992 as a member of the Institutional Sales Force. He served as the Manager of the Firm's Short-Term Note & Derivatives Desk from 1995 until 2007. He also served as the Manager of Sales, Trading and Underwriting from 2007 to 2016. Throughout the past 24 years, Mr. Steinauer has been active in the structuring, pricing and sale of every municipal finance product distributed by George K. Baum & Company. Mr. Steinauer graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts.
