Job Description

Background. George K. Baum & Company (GKB), founded in 1928, provides a full range of investment banking services to investors, corporations and municipalities. Responsibilities. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Structuring complicated financing models (though this is primarily performed by analysts)
  • Performing in-house credit assessments of clients
  • Developing presentations for clients, credit enhancers and conferences
  • Drafting transaction memos and offering documents
  • Critically reading and analyzing legal documents
  • Researching and compiling market data
  • Communicating regularly and effectively with clients, attorneys, investment bankers, and all other parties involved in bond financings

The position requires the applicant to be goal and detail oriented. Applicants with strong finance, math and reasoning skills combined with diverse personal interests are preferred.
